Meet the Owner

Emilia L. Alvarez is the Founder of ÉLAN Medical Aesthetics. Her journey from the corporate world to healthcare is one of transformation and purpose. Initially working in Business Administration & Management, Emilia’s former career as an Executive Assistant in the financial, education, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors in New York City and New Jersey spanned from 1987-2008. Inspired to pursue a career in the medical field, she graduated from Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ in 2010, practiced as an ER Nurse and went on to obtain board certifications in both Emergency Nursing (BCEN) and Trauma Nursing (TNCC). She graduated with her MSN degree from Walden University and went on to obtain board certification as an Acute Care Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2016 as well as Post Master’s certification as a Nursing Educator.

After years of practice in hospital-based internal medicine, Emilia embarked on her career in Aesthetics in 2021, founding parent company ÉLAN Elements of Health LLC.  Emilia’s vision of blending clinical precision and artistic finesse came alive with learning how to combine the practice of medicine with enhancing, restructuring, and restoring one’s physical attributes, first transforming herself, and now dedicating herself to helping men and women to transform, restore and empower themselves to feel and look their best with a focus on natural, subtle – yet impactful and graceful enhancements, contributing to a positive mindset, and overall improved health.

Emilia is certified and experienced in the use and advanced application of neurotoxins, dermal fillers, and PDO Threads for facial aesthetics, plant-based bioengineered serums for use in specialized facials, collagen biostimulators, Mesotherapy (for bodysculpting), Weight Loss modalities and more.
