Meet the Owner

Emilia L. Alvarez is the owner of ÉLAN Medical Aesthetics. Her journey from the corporate world to healthcare is one of transformation and purpose. Initially working in Business Administration & Management, Emilia’s former career as an Executive Assistant in the financial, education, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors in New York City and New Jersey spanned from 1987-2008. Emilia’s path took a sharp turn following the tragic events of September 11, 2001, and she was inspired to pursue a career in the medical field. After graduating with the highest honors as testament to her dedication and love of the science of medicine from Mercer County Community College in West Windsor, NJ, Emilia became an RN in 2010. She went on to obtain board certifications in both Emergency Nursing (BCEN) and Trauma Nursing (TNCC), graduated Cum Laude from a dual RN to Master’s in Nursing program track from Walden University with board certification as an Acute Care Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner in 2016 and certification as a Nursing Educator.

Emilia embarked on her career in Aesthetics in 2021, founding parent company ÉLAN Elements of Health LLC. After years of practice in hospital-based internal medicine, she witnessed time and time again how the mind, body, and spirit are interconnected in the health and wellness spectrum. Emilia’s vision of blending clinical precision and artistic finesse came alive with learning how to combine the practice of medicine with enhancing, restructuring, and restoring one’s physical attributes – helping men and women feel and look their best with a focus on natural and subtle – yet impactful and graceful enhancements, contributing to a positive mindset, and overall improved health.

Emilia is certified and experienced in the use and advanced application of neurotoxins, dermal fillers, PDO Threads, utilizing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for facial aesthetics and collagen rebuilding, Biostimulators (plant-based Exosomes, PRX topical collagen stimulator, and Sculptra), Kybella, Mesotherapy (bodysculpting), lasers, microneedling, Weight Loss modalities and more.
